Description
The Charleston Jazz Academy is advertising for a new Director. The Academy is the Education wing of the Charleston Jazz Organization, which also includes the Charleston Jazz Orchestra and the Charleston Jazz Festival. Programs at the Jazz Academy include private lessons, combo classes, workshops and outreach programs in Title 1 schools. The Academy also hosts 4 weeks of summer "Combo Camps" in June and July. The Director supervises a staff of associate administrators, private instructors and combo directors, and is responsible for vetting the instructional staff.
