Description
Ridge Spring-Monetta Middle / High School is looking for an assistant band director. This is a new full-time position at the school and includes a middle school band director supplement as well as a supplement for assisting with the high school band and a possible chorus supplement. Primary duties include but are not limited to teaching middle school band classes (grades 6 – 8), teaching one or two middle school general music classes, and possibly teaching a chorus class. Ridge Spring-Monetta is a small Class A school in Aiken County. The RS-M band has finished in the top 7 at state marching championships the past two years, the jazz band has received excellent and superior ratings at festivals including JPA, and the concert band just received it’s first superior rating at CPA. The band program should also earn it’s first OPA this year. The administration and guidance counselors at Ridge Spring-Monetta are very supportive of the band program.
