Given the weather forecast for tomorrow in Belton, Gaffney and the Columbia area and the projected rain totals, we have decided to move the Upper State/Lower State Prelims competitions to indoor performances in the gymnasiums at each site. This decision was made in the best interest of the students, directors, staff and spectators.
The performance schedule will remain the same. We are asking that with limited space in the gyms, that spectators please watch the performance of their band and then vacate so that fans/parents of other bands are able to see their performances. For this reason, we are decreasing the ticket prices to $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students.
Finally, we ask for your patience, kindness and grace as our Site Hosts at Gaffney, Belton-Honea Path, Westwood and White Knoll work diligently to change course and move the events inside. This will mark the first time in history that we have held SCBDA Marching Band events indoors and there will likely be some wrinkles to iron out.
