After careful consideration, the decision has been made to postpone the 2022 SCBDA All-State Concert Band and Jazz Band auditions and use our inclement weather date of January 29, 2022. Auditions will be held at a Lexington-area site to be determined. The likelihood of more wintry weather is a significant concern combined with the current number of quarantined students and directors. At this point, we feel that it is in the best interest and safety of all involved to warrant this decision. We hope the extra week will find us healthier and recharged as we approach February.
Student audition times will remain the same. All assigned directors are expected to fulfill their judging obligation. Directors serving as judges in our audition process always represent loyalty to SCBDA and our students. This responsibility is a simple service to our profession.
