Director’s Jazz Band @ All-State

The SCBDA is organizing a Directors Jazz Band “Reading” Session to open the All-State Clinic this year. Directors, please e-mail Ronnie Ward if you want to perform in the director’s jazz ensemble. Please consider the following:

  1. Can you play? If so, will your administration allow you to come even if you do not have students in the All-State Bands?
  2. There will be one mandatory rehearsal on Thursday night before the clinic at Furman from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. We will perform three charts. Please ensure you have supervision coverage for your students, if needed, while at the rehearsal.
  3. Outside preparation before the rehearsal and performance are expected.

Please note that we still plan to have the “reading” session on Saturday morning.
