It is the intent of your SCBDA Executive Board to serve the needs of our membership and your students to the best of our ability. After conferring with Dr. Adam Scheuch, Awards Chair, and Matthew Boiteau, Solo and Ensemble Chair, we have extended these deadlines to Friday, March 4, 2022. I appreciate those who have reached out to me with concerns and for these gentlemen agreeing to push the deadlines back to accommodate our SCBDA membership better. We also extended the Marching Host Application for the next marching season’s championship events to March 4, 2022.
In a week, SCBDA will have held our Region Band Honor Clinics for the first time since February 2019. It was wonderful to see so many of you at the SCMEA In-Service Conference several weeks ago in Columbia. We have a great All-State Band Clinic weekend planned for all, accompanied by 85th Anniversary celebrations!!! For your voice to be heard, you must be present at our Saturday meeting to fill vacancies on our committees. There are very few greater ways to serve SCBDA than by participating on our committees and attending our meetings.
