Description
Anderson School District 2 is currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated educator for the position of Director of Bands at Belton Middle School in Belton, SC. Belton Middle School maintains a distinguished tradition of excellence within the South Carolina Band Directors Association. The program consistently achieves "Superior with Distinction" ratings and maintains a high rate of student placement in Anderson All-County, SCBDA Region 1, and SCBDA All-State Bands. Notably, the ensemble was a featured performer at the 2023 SCBDA State Concert Festival. The successful candidate will lead a program supported by a district that remains deeply committed to the arts and the belief that music education should be accessible to all students.
Requirements
- Valid South Carolina teaching credentials (or eligibility for such).
- While all instrumental backgrounds will be considered, a percussion specialty is preferred.
- A commitment to maintaining high performance standards and a passion for middle-level pedagogy.
