The Associate Director of Bands is expected to serve as a high-energy co-leader for a rapidly expanding 5A program, maintaining the high competitive standards established by the Warrior Bands. Primary instructional duties include delivering daily, high-quality lessons across marching, concert, jazz, and percussion ensembles, with a focus on utilizing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of a growing student body. During the marching season, the Associate Director will take an active role in teaching complex drills and visual techniques, while demonstrating a full commitment to the program’s rigorous schedule, including summer camps, after-school rehearsals, and all weekend competitions. Beyond the classroom, the Associate Director is expected to be a collaborative team player who fosters positive, professional relationships with students, parents, and the Band Booster Club. As the program continues its trajectory of record-breaking growth—highlighted by its status as a 5A State Finalist, outstanding consecutive \\\"Superior with Distinction\\\" ratings, and a recent CWEA Gold Medal in Winter Percussion—the Director will assist in managing the logistical demands of a large-scale ensemble, ensuring that the transition of students from the rapidly growing middle school feeders is seamless and supportive. Ultimately, the expectation is for a dedicated educator who will uphold the \\\"Superior with Distinction\\\" culture while helping to navigate the administrative and artistic challenges of an exemplary South Carolina 5A program.
