Happy May and Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Here are a few reminders and announcements from the SCBDA:
Director Meeting – 5/15/2021
An in-person Director Meeting will be held at Lexington High School on Saturday, May 15, 2021. This will be a business meeting of the SCBDA. Final information will be forthcoming; however, here is the main timeline of events for the day:

Solo & Ensemble Wrap-Up

Adjudicators have until May 15 to complete all assigned adjudication for submitted entries from the Spring. The S&E committee will work diligently to aggregate this data and forward participating schools’ final scoresheets no later than May 21, 2021.

The Master Recital and Honors Jazz Combo will occur on May 22, 2021, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the University of South Carolina School of Music. A live stream link will be sent to the membership and posted on Bandlink closer to the event start date.
JPA Submission Deadline
A reminder to directors that Friday, May 7, 2021, is the final day to submit recorded submissions for the 2021 Jazz Performance Assessment. Please contact Mark Yost if you have any questions regarding JPA.
