Description
Directs and manages the overall program of instrumental music, concert band, and marching band for the district. Provides students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular band activities and ensures compliance with all state and district requirements. Plans activities to achieve district, region, and state recognition. Current enrollment indicates that the middle school includes fewer than 25 band students in each grade level. Latta Schools prides itself on challenging the academic potential of students in our smaller community to ensure that we are preparing our students for the best possible future. Latta Schools also encourages participation in the arts programming and has invested in a performing arts center located on the campus. There are three schools located within the district, which encompass grades pre-K through 12. - Latta Elementary is the only Montessori based school within the county and includes pre-K through 4th grade. - Latta Middle School includes 5th through 8th graders. The curriculum encompasses STEM and Project Based Learning. - Latta High School includes 9th through 12th graders and the only International Baccalaureate Program within the county.
Requirements
SC Certification through the SC Department of Education is required.
