| The Speaking of Schools show
hosted by Doug Keel on Monday, August 2, 1999, featured a segment on the committment
involved with being in band and the many activities that South Carolina bands engage in
throughout the school year. Doug interviewed Jimmy Garrett of Chesnee High School in a 6
1/2 minute segment. You can hear a Real Audio recording a of
the interview online. You will need Real Audio player (version G2) to hear the recording. The Real Audio player is available free from www.real.com. (Note: The Real Player version with "Juke Box" feature is not recommended.) Speaking of Schools is a weekly radio program which airs over South Carolina Educational Radio. A tape of the program will be available several weeks after broadcast from the Audio-Visual Library, State Department of Education (SDE), 1513 Gervais Street, Columbia 29201. A check to the SDE for $3.50 should be included to cover duplicating and mailing costs. Just ask for the Speaking of Schools broadcast on 8/2/99. |
