REGISTRATIONS
All registrations are to be done in advance.
These are to be postmarked by February 10, 2006. No unregistered student will be
seated in the region band. The registration fee is $6.00 per
student. Should you have any students who need to cancel,
please send their name(s) to region chairman Mike Jones in via email
bdjock@aol.com.
This will allow him to move up alternates in advance and make the
beginning of the clinic run more smoothly.
ALTERNATES
If a sufficient number of alternates
register for the clinic we will divide the alternates into two bands.
Senior band alternates will go to the older group, Junior band alternates
will go to the younger group, and Clinic band alternates will be placed as
instrumentation demands. Students
that earned a seat in the All-State Band may participate in the alternate
band by sitting in the last chairs of each section if they wish to do so.
All alternates must attend the clinic to receive a medal and for your band
to receive OPA credit. Attendance will be checked in rehearsals.
ALTERNATES ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. EVERYONE WHO ATTENDS WILL GET
TO PLAY AND WILL NOT SIT AROUND DOING NOTHING!!!
TAPES AND CD's
Orders
for audio tapes or CD’s of both the Alternate Band and Honors Band
Concerts will be available at the clinic. The cost of the tapes is
$15 and CD’s are $25. The
tapes/CD’s are being recorded and produced by Inner Sanctum
Productions from Mt. Pleasant (Charleston), SC.
MEDALS, PATCHES
Medals and patches will be sold to directors at the
conclusion of their meeting on Friday. Please check with your
students in advance and plan to make your purchases at this
time. Individual sales to students and parents will also be done on
Saturday morning and afternoon.
REGION BAND T-SHIRTS
Region Band T-shirts will be sold again this year by
Helen Culp of Culp-Craft. However, they will have to be purchased in
advance or by mail. NO T-SHIRTS WILL BE SOLD AT THE REGION CLINIC.
