REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
ALL REGISTERED STUDENTS MUST ATTEND ALL REHEARSALS IN ORDER TO
PERFORM IN THE CONCERT, RECEIVE A MEDAL; AND QUALIFY FOR THE OPA POINTS!!
Any student who is selected to participate and fails to do so without prior
notification to the Region Chair will not be allowed to participate in any
of the All-State or Region bands for which he/she may have been selected.

ALTERNATES
Alternates will need to go tot the assigned rehearsal areas for their
level (Clinic or Senior) when they arrive after they pickup their
nametags. After lunch, any alternates not seated in the Region Band
will attend a rhythms/sightreading workshop offered by an area director.
On Saturday alternates have the option to attend rehearsals. But they must
be here for the entire day on Friday in order for your school to receive
their OPA Points.
DIRECTIONS
The West Ashley High School Campus is located off of 526-Mark
Clark towards Savannah, Exit 61 North, Ashley River Road.
Please use the far left lane to park vehicles for all. DO NOT
park in the bus loop by the bandroom. You will be towed. Parents may
use the bus loop after 7:30AM to drop off their children only.
Parents may also use the bus loop after 6:00PM to pick up their
children.
RECORDINGS
The 2002 Southern Region Band concert will be recorded
again this year. Brochures for this recording will be given
out on breaks and the CDs and tapes may be purchased in the common's
area before or after the concert.
MEDALS, PATCHES AND T-SHIRTS
Region band patches and medals will be sold in the
common's area for $3.00 each. T-Shirts will be sold as well.

INFORMATION Students should bring all of their
equipment; extra reeds, valve oil, slide oil, cork grease, sticks,
mallets, mutes, etc... The West Ashley high School dining
facilities WILL NOT be available to our students. Please make
arrangements to have students eat elsewhere. The bandroom will be
available to those students that choose to bring their meal. |
