Dear  Directors:

I would like to cordially invite you and your  band to attend the tenth annual Mid-Atlantic Contest of Champions held on Saturday, September 27th at the newly renovated Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  I think that you will find that our wonderful facilities(you will now be marching on artifical turf) and excellent judging staff will render you comments that will help you as you continue to make final preparations in the marching season.

I have secured judges that are prepared to comment constructively concerning your performance.  Each judge will give you comments that you can take to your rehearsals the next week to improve and grow as a band.  Bands that are not competing in the state contests will also be able to reap many benefits from the judges comments because this contest  is for your enjoyment  and improvement. 

This contest is for bands to prove and improve themselves, not for judges to prove how tough they can be. 

Our location gives you an excellent opportunity to bring your students to a good marching competition and to also possibly spend some time at the beach.  The band boosters and myself will do everything we can to make your visit here a very pleasant one.  Please do not hesitiate to call me at school (843-445-2050) or at home (843-650-2250) or my cell(843-907-0618)for any questions that you might have.
