October 7, 2006

Invitation Letter | Press Box Info Form | Application

The Mid-Atlantic Contest of Champions' philosophy is to provide participating bands a venue for critical and constructive evaluation of their performances as well as to serve as an effective stepping-stone to better prepare them for regional and state events.

The format will be a finals competition only.  The bands will be divided by size of horn line into 4 classes; A, 2A, 3A and 4A.  The number of horns in each class will be determined by natural breaks in the registered bands.  Bands will be scheduled a performance time within their class by earliest postmark. Within each class, bands will be judged in order of appearance.  Each band’s should will be no shorter than 6 minutes and no longer than 10 minutes, and will be scheduled at twenty minute intervals with a break after each class.
