Tom Finigan

Tom Finigan is the Director of Bands for the Colleton County High School Band of Blue and coordinator of the Instrumental Music Program for the Colleton County Schools. He is a native of Walterboro, SC and is in his twentieth year with the Colleton County Band Program. Mr. Finigan has been associated with The Band of Blue either as a student, staff member or director since 1976.  He holds the Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of South Carolina and the Master of Education degree in school administration and supervision from the Citadel. 

During Mr. Finigan's tenure as Director of Middle School Bands, The Walterboro Junior Band and The Colleton County Junior Band received the Outstanding Performance Award from the South Carolina Band Directors Association 16 years consecutively and a total of 18 times out of 19 years.  The Junior Band, under his direction, performed at the 1992 Middle School Association Convention and at the 1993 South Carolina Music Educators Association In-Service Conference. Under Mr. Finigan, hundreds of students have received numerous excellent and superior ratings and region and all-state chairs at  various SCBDA sponsored events. 

His professional affiliations include Music Educators National Conference, National Band Association, Phi Beta Mu Honorary Band Masters Fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi, Kappa Delta Epsilon, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, South Carolina Music Educators Association and the South Carolina Band Directors Association. 

Mr. Finigan is Past President of the South Carolina Band Directors Association.  Mr. Finigan served on the SCBDA Board for the past 14 years.  He also served as the SCBDA State Marching Committee Chairman for eight years and is currently the Adjudication Chairman.  He is also active as an adjudicator and visual designer, having written for many fine area bands. 

Mr. Finigan is married to the former Lorraine Cauley of Columbia. They have two sons, Thomas, 11, is in the sixth grade, and William, 5, is in kindergarten.

Ervin Manigo

E.L. Manigo,
is the Associate Director of Bands for the Colleton County High School Band of Blue and Director of the Colleton County Junior Band and Middle School Bands. Mr. Manigo is a native of Colleton County and grew up in Walterboro, SC.  He is in his twenty-third year of teaching.  Mr. Manigo is a 1980 graduate of Walterboro High School and earned his BME in Instrumental Music Education from Winthrop University.  Mr. Manigo is currently working on his master's degree in Secondary Education Administration. 

Mr. Manigo has taught at Westside High School in Augusta, GA; Beaufort High School; R.W. Groves High School in Savannah, GA; Manning High School; Greenwood High School; and most recently at Wade Hampton High School in Hampton, SC. 

His professional affiliations include Music Educators National Conference,  South Carolina Music Educators Association, South Carolina Band Directors Association,  Georgia Music Educator's Association, Georgia Band Directors Association, South Carolina Drum and Bugle Corps Association, South Carolina Educators Association and the National Educators Association. 

Under Mr. Manigo's baton, hundreds of students have received numerous excellent and superior ratings and region and all-state chairs at various SCBDA sponsored events.   Mr. Manigo has won the SCBDA 3A Lower State Marching Band Championship three times.   Mr. Manigo has won the SCBDA Outstanding Performance Award 9 times at the High School level and three times at the Middle School level.

Mr. Manigo was teacher of the year in 1996 at Manning High School; in 1999 at Greenwood High School and in 2002 in Hampton School District One.  He has served on the SCBDA Marching Committee for several years.  

Mr. Manigo lives in Port Royal, SC with his wife, Latonya and their three children, Jaquel, Ciji, Bernadette.

Greg Hall

Greg Hall, is a 2000 graduate of Furman University and a 1996 graduate of Berea High School. He served as Director of Bands at Travelers Rest High school for the past five years.  He has studied music under the direction of Dr. Leslie Hicken, Dr. John Beckford, John Parks, and Dr. Gary Robinson. Some of Mr. Hall’s accomplishments and achievements are: Drum Major of the Paladin Regiment (Furman University), Undergraduate Staff for the Paladin Regiment Percussion, Principal Percussionist—Furman University Wind Ensemble, Principal Percussionist—Furman University Symphonic Band, Principal Percussionist—Furman Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Hall also performed with the Furman Jazz Band, Percussion Ensembles, and various small ensembles while at Furman. In his senior year in high school, Mr. Hall was awarded the South Carolina Music Educators Association Memorial Scholarship, which is the highest award to be received by a South Carolina high school musician.

Mr. Hall has performed as a percussionist with and for many organizations across the state and the southeast region, including the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, Spartanburg Philharmonic, churches, bands, and also as the owner/operator of “Caribbean Steel” a one man steel pan band. He has served on band staffs for Furman University’s Paladin Regiment, under the direction of Mr. Jay Bocook, and for high schools and middle schools around the southeast region including Greer High School, Easley High School, and Roswell High School in Georgia. He has served as an adjudicator for music events around the Southeast as well. His professional affiliations include National Music Educators National Conference and the Percussive Arts Society. He is currently pursuing National Board Certification in Music.


Another large part of his life has been spent serving his country in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He was a Sergeant in the Ammunition Company, 4th Supply Battalion, 4th Force Service Support Group out of Greenville, SC.  In 2003, Mr. Hall was deployed to Kuwait to serve in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.  Among his military awards are two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and eight Meritorious Masts.

Nick Infinger

Nick Infinger serves as an Assistant Director of the Colleton County High School Band of Blue. He is a native of Harleyville, SC and is in his second year with the Colleton County Band Program. He holds the bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of South Carolina. He is a member of Music Educators National Conference, South Carolina Music Educators Association, The International Trumpet Guild, and the South Carolina Band Directors Association.

Mr. Infinger has taught in the midlands area at both Spring Valley High School and Gilbert High School. During his time at USC, he was a featured soloist with the marching band and performed in various ensembles. He has also performed for President George W. Bush and the past three South Carolina Governors.

In addition to teaching beginning and middle school band at Forest Circle Middle School, Mr. Infinger also keeps a private music studio, teaching young trumpet players. He enjoys golf and is an avid outdoorsman who loves to hunt and fish.
