When working on your solo, think about the following:
1. tone quality.
2. range within the audition requirements for each particular instrument and grade of student.
3. technical proficiency.
4. typical styling.
5. contrasting styles, tempos, and articulations.
6. different styles of phrasing.
7. the student’s overall talent.
