South Carolina Band Link is a non-profit source for information about school bands. This resource is provided for band directors, band students, band boosters, parents and the general public. The mission of Band Link is to provide easy access to information about school bands in South Carolina and help promote the positive nature of the school band activity.

The founder of Band Link, Jeff Thompson, and his wife, Donna, were honored by the South Carolina Theta Chapter of Phi Beta Mu, an honorary Bandmasters’ Fraternity. The announcement came to a very surprised Jeff and Donna at the 1999 AllState Clinics on the campus of Furman University at the band directors meeting. A plaque was presented June 6, 1999, at a concert by The Columbia Community Concert Band at Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Gardens.
