South Carolina Band Directors Association SCBDA "Team Members" "Survey Of Internet Users" "Got your ears on, Good Buddy? Come back!" / "10-4, Good Buddy! I read you loud and clear! Come back!" / "Roger that, Good Buddy! Whats your 10-20? Come Back!" / "North bound at the 92 mile marker, Good Buddy! Come back!" / "Im runnin with the pedal to the metal and need to know if youve seen any SMOKIES out there in the woods? Come back!" / "Youre talking to SMOKY right now! Come back! . . . . . . . . Come back! . . . . . . . . Do you read me? Come back! . . . . . . . . Still got your ears on, Good Buddy? Come back! Those of you old enough to remember the CB Radio days will easily recall the hours of trucker lingo we listened to as we wheeled down the interstate highway. Those truckers, and we ordinary people in our cars, were locked into a communications madness as we pushed on looking for "Smoky Bear" and the "County Mounty." The South Carolina Band Directors Association needs to find a way to communicate that will be fast and inexpensive. We have some wonderful plans for this association, but they will require rapid communications. The obvious solution is to use the technology that is available to us now; the SC Band Link. The Public Relations Committee along with the Chernoff/Silver Public Relations Firm is planning an unbelievable campaign that will focus not only on directors but also on our students and their parents. This campaign will only be successful if every member of our association has access to the SC Band Link. Everyone reading this letter now probably has access to the Internet and E-mail, but I have no way of knowing who you are unless you help me conduct a survey. I want to set this survey up by counties. Even though I would like to hear from everyone, 500 e-mails might put a real crimp in my planning period. It would be very helpful for the directors in each county to contact each other to secure the necessary information. If one director from each county would compile the data and send it to me as an e-mail, I will have everything I need to begin our latest Public Relations effort. The Public Relations Campaign - Needed Information
When this information is compiled, please e-mail the data to me. You can access my e-mail address by clicking on my picture or the "Send Email to Glenn Price" icon on this page. Send the information by county, school, and director. Example: Kershaw County:
Please help us by completing this survey as soon as possible. Thanks for all "YOU" do for the SCBDA! Glenn C. Price, President |
